2 equal drivers (as stated by the men driving the cars)
40-150mph run
gallardo gets the honk and jump (pretty obvious)
They just wanted to see who would pull stronger.
This video is taken from inside the yellow Gallardo.
Also...the Gallardo has a Tubi Exhause edit* http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....177C4A&p=0
Yup, all I learned from it is that when I get my gallardo as my new daily driver - I shouldn't go racing corvettes. Just nod and keep driving around in my LAMBORGHINI.
great vid. its nice to see an AMERICAN car hand a lambo its ass.
TVC: its time to give the Z its props and stop acting like a bitter ex-wife....
i want you all to close your eyes...now picture a race video...there is a yellow lambo gallardo and its racing against a black american sportscar...they take off from 50 and after the italian tractor gets the jump, the american beast reels it in and starts to walk away from it.... now imagine you're walking up to the black american beast and it...it....it...is a ..............
(dramatic pause)
.............
its a VIPER SRT COUPE! how do you feel now? huh? yeah see what i was doing there? huh? pretty tricky huh? yeah i made that trick up myself for times when i am representing poor black men whose daughters have been raped and killed by racist white men....gets a not guilty verdict everytime i watch it errrr use it in trial. )
this was the argument that porsche, ferrari and lambo owners used to use against us when they had their asses handed to them by Vipers and we laughed at them.... and now you guys use it to attack the Z with?
next thing you'll tell me that cupholders, dead pedals, traction control, and lugwgage space are what make a great sports car! oh wait....
TVC: its time to give the Z its props and stop acting like a bitter ex-wife....
I've congratulated GM enough for finally building something worth buying. I'm not going to prop them every time somebody incessantly post redundant "hey, lookit the new Z06" shit.
If I trolled the Vette boards I'd probably discover there are more threads about the new Z06 here and the VCA than on their own board.
And again, Vette vs. Lambo? Puh-lease. I'll take the tractor thank you even if it is the entry-level.

i dont think this thread was about which one you would take. i think it was intended to be about which one won the race...until you and mark hijacked it.

This is what sucks about being associated with a group, be it Vipers, Vettes, etc. Y'get blamed for having the same mindset as so many others. Categorically speaking, I never ever made the arguments you claim and NEVER dis'd Ferraris, Lambos or Porsches. There are things about them that I don't care for but that doesn't mean I dis'd 'em in the way you mention.
If this was a long time comingvid about a Viper everyone would be all over it.
Duh. It's a Viper board.
And to reply to Lawboy's comment, a Viper board that has been overrun with "the new Z06" threads. If you think I'm going to suck up on each and every one of the gazillion Z06 comments listed on Viper boards you're fucking dreaming. I'll leave Craig continue with that.
Now, for the tenth time (an adequate number BTW and probably the last time I'll say it) Congrats GM for finally building something worth buying.

you are sooooo "street" chuck! im not saying you "dis'd" the euros. what i am saying is only a pussy says yeah well id rather drive home in the "insert euro sports car" as his excuse for getting his ass handed to him in a race. no one asked which one he would rather have. as a matter of fact, im pretty sure we all assume the euro driver would rather have the euro sports car since he does in fact have one.
when the topic raised is "which would you rather have" there is nothing wrong with saying whatever is your personal choice.... but when the topic is "which one is faster" only a yellow belly salt-deprived rich coward would throw out the "uhhhhh who cares im driving home in the lambo" response...
And (as a pre-emptive strike) to further qualify - I have NEVER referred or insinuated Vette owners to be middle-aged-balding-gold-chain-wearing men. I know as many Vette owners as anyone on this board and have tracked with more Vettes than most of you. The Vette owners I know are a great bunch of guys, we respect each other's rides and don't go dishing out bullshit or "smack" talk. We track and have a great time.
i do have to throw in that i saw and rode in Getbit's SRTC last night and that thing is BADASS! it is truly amazing how much better that looks in person!
he pulled up to my building last night and while we were talking about it, an old almost homeless looking cowboy walked past and then turned around and back past the car. it was obvious he was checking it out. i glanced at him at first and then did a doubletake and realized it was David fucking Caradine! Mr. Kung Bill Fu! pretty sweet! i of course only told getbit after Mr. Fu was out of his reach as i wanted to avoid another "Sean Patrick Flannery" incident....
in sum, the SRTC is a spectacular car in person and even a bad ass like Bill thinks so!

Uh. When the topic is "hey, for the gazillionth time - THE NEW Z06" on a Viper board, the members are allowed to reply any fucking way they choose.
How's that for "street?"
How many of you remember the "Supra Jihad" of years ago? They must've sold their Supras and bought new Z06s.

you must have not had enough salt today chuck.... lol!!!
and in case you havent noticed, it appears the supra crowd is actually infiltrating the Viper world.... seems like every supra owner i know has either already bought a Gen 2 or is in the process of buying one. i guess it was only a matter of time after the viper turbo technology advanced to a level that allowed the viper to surpass the supra as the fastest street car.

I didn't laugh at them, I agreed with them. I've never understood the "my car is fater than yours" posts so I guess I don't share your passion.
For tracking, I don't think anything beats the new Z06 (though I love my ACR). They are going for $15K over MSRP here right now though. For cruising around, I'd rather be in any newer Ferarri or Lambo than any vette, porsche, GT, or Twin Turbo 2 thousand horsepower Viper SRT coupe any day.
