Yup, I was hoping Arnold would fix this state, but alas, he'll be booted in the next election and we'll get some Dem fuckstick to run the state back into its hole of billions in debt.
The Handgun ban sort of surprised me, even for SF, although I guess it shouldn't have. Its absolutely amazing how people are so quick to vote away their constitutional rights.
The real funny thing was on the news they intereviewed an opponent to the measure in the city who was clearly gay, and a member of the "Pink Shooters" or something like that, a "Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Shooting Club". Any other place would have had the qunitessential redneck with a gunrack - not SF - they show that guy with his lisp and pink shirt, squeezing off rounds from his 9mm.

I don't think it will ultimately hold up. How can they legally ban you from exercising your second ammendment rights? I've heard SF actually isn't the first place to do this. Anyone know what happened in the other city? Did it stand?

Because there are SOOOoo many handgun murders in SF. You're in more jeopardy from a PG&E underground transformer station blowing up and taking your head off with a manhole cover. You're in more danger of pitbull attack ... Wait ... they're trying to outlaw them too.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the 2/3 needed for the measure to pass so unscheduled drive-bys will continue and bars will still be an optional window treatment for all homes.

The city of Chicago has had a ban on handgun ownership in the city for several years now. Yet another reason not to live in the city... :fist:

I saw the actual vote count on the news, there were something like 2400 voters total for that one. Its tough to get out to vote when you've barricaded yourself in your house behind barred windows and doors.
