Did all of the prominent, most liberal, democrats all sign a document together to Clinton in 1998 urging him to address Iraq and the fact that they have WMDs - and they explicitly mention in the memo that they support air strikes and missile launches to end Iraq's WMD programs?
So please inform us Mikie - if you liberals, all of the most liberal ones in your party, urged Clinton so hard to strike Iraq 'with air and missile strikes if necessary' in regards to Saddam's WMDs - why then did they forget about that memo, or all of their WMD quotes throughout the years, and turn on this administration and state that Saddam did not have WMDs?
Hmmm, I am slightly confused on this topic - surely you can shed some light on it for me...
Very simple. Those pushing for war, be they Democrat or Republican, were wrong. Clinton had the common sense to not do it.
Here is a 2002 example. This involves Gephardt.
2002-10-02, the White House Rose Garden:
GEPHARDT: "In response to the President's desire for congressional support and, in keeping with our constitutional responsibilities, I have worked to draft a resolution that reflects the views of a large bipartisan segment of Congress. My underlying goal in this process has been to ensure that Iraq is disarmed, and to lessen the likelihood that weapons of mass destruction can be passed to terrorists."
2005-10-10, Seattle, WA:
GEPHARDT: "It was a mistake ... I was wrong."
The point is, anybody can and does make mistakes. It takes a bigger man to own up to a mistake.
It takes a lying sack o'shit to intentionally mislead.
