I have two stores, both were flooded(one got 6 inches, the other got 9 feet). Both were looted also. The store that only got 6 inches of water got looted TWICE for good measure I have been working like crazy rebuilding and you would be amazed at what the store looks like now. I am a little worker bee for sure We are still working under a 5pm curfew and although power is restored to most places, the area where my remaining store is, was heavily damaged and isnt very secure, so I have been carrying all of my inventory in my enclosed trailer home everyday. Though my store looks like Bosnia, my business is amazingly busy! We now except cash, visa, M/C and FEMA I'll let you know how good my insurance coverage is in a few weeks.
I was looking at the speakers unscrewed from their housings and the banners and boards ripped off the walls., sorry. How's your home & family?
My home suffered some roof damage, my chimney flew off. So my walls and floor got wet and will need to be replaced, but compared to many, I did well. I presently have 10 family members, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a one and two year old living in my house. My wife is expecting our first child in about a week
It is very hectic to say the least, but we are surviving. I have also lost 11 out of 15 employees due to loss of housing. Getting through this will be a challenge, but I believe I will prosper.
BTW I live across the street from Norm, aka Super Squirrel. You might have seen his post" Super Squirrel lives"
Has anybody been able to catch up with The Mad Looter? I'd like to hear his side of the story. I bet he looted for health reasons and to feed his cats!
You make jokes, but the looters who broke into my store, which had no power for several hours, actually took the time to climb on something to cut the wires on the outside cameras! I do have battery backup, but at that time it was still under water Great pic though
