Just got back from Skydiving

Two Bad Snakes

What a rush,, 13,000 jump, free fall to 5500 then,, Woosh,, the chute opened, and gentle ride down.

I am scheduled for an AFF jump in a few weeks,, This was the most exciting thing I have ever done!

Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane doesn't make alot of sense.

im still working on growing the balls to do this.

its not the idea of jumping out of the plane, or falling from 13,000 ft. its the idea that the parachute was packed by a human being. i think that if i were to try it, the entire free-fall would be wasted to me only focusing on one thought: "this fuckin chute better open right".

i have not done any research yet. do parachute/skydiving accidents happen often?

Yes the plane was perfectly good! The rush I got from this is nothing like I have ever experianced.

I white water kayak, and drop into some really big water from 20 and 30 foot water falls and never had this rush.

I get the pics back in a few days, will post then.

My parents had two good friends break their backs skydiving within days of one another.

I would still like to try it one day, however.

While I have no fear of doing crazy shit...I keep it at ground level (or below). Cool shit dude, congrats :thumb:...just not my thing.

Watch "Sports Disasters" sometime. I would guess approximately 1/4 of the footage is skydiving gone bad...

yeah wait until you are done jumping with some guy strapped to your back... free flying is the most badass shit ever. I'm an avid sky diver although i haven't gone in about 2 months but I do plan on getting back into it big time within the next few weeks. Its the sickest shit i've ever done in my life

Nah, free falling is not for me, but then again, nothing like scuba diving at 100 foot deep during a shark feeding dive either. Yup, a 12-14 foot long bull shark gets your attention. And nope, no cages.

Total rush man. It's too sad that most peoples excitement is watching "reality TV" and voting someone off an island.

Only like once every 10,000 junps. At the World Free Fall Convention last month in Illinois, they had two or three deaths.

As much as I'd love to try it, I don't like the thought that if you fuck up on the first try you won't get that chance to learn from your mistake hehe. I probably will one day cuz I get stuntman tendencies quite often, hence the screen name.

But anyways, like I said I haven't fully come to terms with the one thing goes wrong then thats pretty much all she wrote. :thumb: Either way, I know I'll end up doing it. It's kinda one of my "things to do before I die" things, just don't want it to be the "thing that made me die".
