Slower traffic keep right – it’s the law! So get that slow ass funeral procession out of the left lane! I don’t care if it is a police escort nothing in the law makes provisions for the oinkers. Why they were on the interstate and not a state road is beyond me. But I called the cops and let them know their buddies were breaking the law. The cop on the phone started to come back with "I’m sorry you’re being inconvenienced, but…" and I cut him off with "Inconvenience? What about the danger of coming to a complete stop on a 70mph highway just so the cops can keep a procession gathered up? If they stayed in the right lane they wouldn’t be holding everybody up."
They wouldn’t even let anyone pass on the right.
He replied with, "You need to drive more carefully."
"Great" I said, "but what am I supposed to do about the semi barreling down behind me or the other idiots locking up their brakes and taking the emergency lanes?"
The conversation went on for several minutes and each time he started to say something I cut him off with my reply.
I ended it with "Your brothers are breaking the law. Who do I need to talk to?" He advised me to talk to the Chief of Police. "Thanks, I’ll call him Monday." And I hung up.
I never called the Chief but I made my point. My mistake was that the cops were county (or city, I don’t remember) and on the advice of a friend and former cop I should have called the FL Highway Patrol. *FHP for you FL boys.
I almost got arrested once for questioning a cop who had pulled over my pregnant wife. She called me on my cell phone hysterical because some cop was yelling at her through her window and had his hand on his gun. It wasn't far from me, so I drove over to find two motorcycle cops with my wife pulled over. She wouldn't get out of the car until I arrived because of this one cop who was yelling at her (I stayed on the phone with her the whole time).
I get out of my car and approach and one of the cops gets all bent because I am there. I ask him if its standard protocol to treat pregnant women with yelling and threatening gestures. He says he is going to arrest me, but I guess his buddy thought better of it and he pulled me back and suggested that everything was under control. I ask for the other cops name and badge number and he is spazing out about interfering with an officer or some shit - I ask what about assault on a pregnant woman on the side of the road for a minor traffic infraction?
At this point the "good cop" decided this is going too far and tells my wife to leave and that the whole thing would be resolved by everyone leaving. I never did get that guys name and wonder if anyone really would have done anything if I had called him in.
You should get the info and report them for this stuff, else they will do it again and again, if not something worse. Eventually reporting this stuff will catch up to them, if they keep it up.
shows what an ounce of power can do. Most cops I have met when being pulled over for something as minor as a hollywood stop (thats rolling through a stop sign for some folks) are always like robots. Cops SEEM to have very little reason and trying to "rule with an iron fist" never worked for any governemt so don't know why cops think it'll work. As a matter of reference, I have easily been pulled over 115-20 times for stupid things like rolling stops, speeding of course, driving on a painted median (which I didn't do) etc.... I have yet to be found guilty, I go to court and have always found some stupid obscure law that gets me out, or the cop makes a mistake on the ticket, or cop isn't there at all.......

Lucky for you, they can't pull you over for failing high school english and math or else you'd have been pulled over 1250-95 times.
I also ran down a cop for passing me in an intersection without his lights on (I was about 17 at the time) (in mundelein for the chicago suburban peeps). Chased him for about 4 miles flashing my lights and honking till he finally pulled over. He got out of the car yelling and screaming at me, but he was mainly mumbling and I couldn't understand him much. He wanted me to stay in my car which I did. He yelled for a while till another officer pulled up. I told the other officer what happened, he went and talked to the 1st officer. The 2nd officer was a sgt. or something (the 1st officer definately listened to him and did what he was told). The sgt cop thanked me for my concern of the other officer's driving and asked I call next time instead. Then we all went on our way.
ex-chief hit the nose of my car with the D.A.R.E. van once.. said 'you just hit my car'.. he said 'i didnt realize i did, big deal'.. i said 'ignorance is no excuse for the law'.. he said 'i'm getting your car towed'..
went on with the whole 'you sit right there.. dont move'.. must have hit 911 or something cause half the force showed up in the parking lot.
blah blah blah.. abuse of power.. tax dollars at work.. PD paid to fix my car.

In high school my wife's car was hit by a police car that jumped a median chasing someone. She pulled over and waited for the cop to come back. After 30-40 min. of waiting she called the cops. A police officer came took the report, got the other cop to come back (the one that hit her). He said he didn't realize he hit her. The next day she calls the police, and they have no record of the incidence. Her insurance had to pay to get it fixed.
True story!!!!!!
