I understand about wanting to be safe but I think this guy has gone past the fence. Everything this guy talks about can be done exactly the same using another device. i.e. he doesn't want alarm clock functions on the phones because it can be used to set off a bomb after some amount of time. In that case I would rather go to RadioShack and buy an alarm clock that runs off batteries. It would be cheaper and I wouldn't have to sign my name to paper saying that I was using that particular clock. And to be able to set off a bomb by calling a number could also be done by a pager. If we want to start using this logic we should ban baseball because people are killed with baseball bats every year. And while we are banning stuff just get rid of backpacks since they are used to carry the bomb to the site of the explosion. As long as we want any kind of "convenience" in our life we are going to have to deal with people using that "convenience" the wrong way. Also during this interview at the bottom of the screen MSNBC keeps flashing "Cell phone batteries used to cause explosion". This is completely inaccurate. The batteries have been known to explode when they are mistreated, such as being shorted out or charging them for an extended period of time. If you wait for this to cause the reaction then the bomb is completely unreliable. This stuff frustrates me to no end.
