I was thinking about placing my car on ebay I have never bought or sold anything on ebay and was wondering what the pros and cons were? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: EBAY

I've sold two cars on ebay, one went for $16k, the other $33k, and no problem with either sale. It's pretty much common sense as with everything you buy or sell.

Re: EBAY

I found that it was more cheap advertising that anything. Sold 2
Porsches but to guys who saw them on e-bay but did not bid. You
will get e-mails and calls but few serious buyers.

Re: EBAY

I sold a vintage car last winter and had no problems whatsoever. Just make sure you end it at a time when people are most likely home. It may trigger some last minute bids. My auction ended at 8 pm on a sunday and it seemed to pay off :thumb:

You do get a ton of questions. "why are you selling?" "want to trade for a 'X'"

Re: EBAY

I have bought 12 cars and listed three. I just listed an 05 Jeep Rubicon and it came within one dollar of a sale. I now have it on AutoTrader.

Why would someone bid on something then wait to get it or pay for it??

Because they probably didn't want it.
There time is more valueable then yours.
or they are just a ass.

Please give the asses negative feedback and go to next bidder.
