It's regarding the tire smoke, not the car. I know Kumho is offering something similar for the drifting circuit, thus the ricer reference.

FF Cobra's are nice and inexpensive. I looked into buying one but did not like the fact that they are pretty much designed around the 4.6 Mustang engine and drivetrain. Not that there is anything wrong with that drivetrain, but I don't really want to work my ass off building it and have to use some pimple-popper's used and abused parts. I know they can accept other engines and drivetrains, but they don't go together as easily (no corresponding manual), as well as the fact that I probably would not be able to prevent myself from going all out and throwing in a Viper engine. I have seen them as cheap as $25,000 assembled with about 2000 miles on a new Ford crate engine, so I think I will go that route. How is your FF coming along?

Re: If you are into burn outs

I am waiting on my completed dash with gauges and the Painless wiring harness to be sized. The Kirkey seat has to be installed, carpet, body sanded and painted and engine of choice and rims and tires. I have a Tremec sitting in my garage collecting dust with a dirve shaft already cut and ready. Everything else is done. It rolls around ect. All the aluminum is rivited on and the fuel cell is installed axle and disc brakes all the way around.

Thing is pretty darn light, me and the guy who towed it here from AZ slid it sideways on the trailer by yanking on it to position it. The bumps moved it a bit and we had to line up the tires and ramps with no roll around room.

Actually I paid a professional hot rod guy to finish it to this stage just in case I have to sell it. It is hard to sell a Spec Racer in pieces and in boxes. I really wish I had the time and space to finish it myself. Of course the goal is to keep the damn thing but the next 3 months will dictate that outcome. What better place to take a chance than Vegas

God I would love to have some type of twin turbo set up! I had nitrous in my other one and it was a kick in the pants in that little car but something about turbos.....free hp!
