Whaaaaaaat?? I have only three computers I use, one at home and two at work. They've always been the same IP's. So I guess IP doesn't show what state someone is in? Cuz the "other guy" lives about as far away from me as you can get without leaving the country....
Whoa! It's an AOL IP address. We recently had someone using AOL to jam up the boards and your IP address fell within that range. AOL IP addresses aren't state specific and they rotate about every 15 minutes if it's dial up. So, you simply got punished because some idiot happened to fall in the same range as you and when he got clipped so did you. It has nothing to do with anyone I think you've ever hung out with.

How can they rotate and you still be able to track someone down by their IP address?
