There was a guy that bought up thousands of mispelled domain names for major websites and then redirected the traffic to porn and etc.....I guess he made millions but ended up getting busted for it. Great idea but didnt pay off in the end!

Typosquatting, pretty common stuff, those domains can be obtained through domain name arbitration like ones being cybersquatted on, if you're willing to go through the trouble and expense. Usually costs ~$1500 to file, plus ~$5k in attorney's fees.
