The rain finally let up for a day, so we were able to finish all of the ground level exterior walls. The taller section with the small windows is the bathroom and we still have to build the upper sections of the walls to accommodate the 16 foot ceilings. Roof trusses should be ready in a week, and so far we are on schedule and within budget lines.
If I'm boring any of you with these pics....too bad. This is the first project of this magnitude that I've ever taken on myself, and I'm damn proud of it so far.
Hopefully the ground dries up a bit so I can get the hole backfilled soon. We had a flood in the basement last weekend and I don't need any more added headaches.
Looks like it's coming along nicely, Greg. What flooded in your basement?
The sump pump backed up. It was all rainwater that because of the addition has nowhere to go right now. Once I get the backfilling done it should be ok.
Looks great, 400-600 sf? Yes, it looks like you will maybe need to move that electrical panel. 200 Amp should be fine if that's what you have. Do you have central air, adding a new unit or tying into old and up-sizing?

Thanks. It's actually 1180 sq. ft.
The hydro is fine. The pic might make it look wierd, but the house actually ties in with the addition behine the stack. The front section with the 3 tall windows is my office, and on the house side it notches back about 8 feet to get behind where the hydro comes in to the existing house.
200 amp service is more than enough, and was already installed to make room for the hot tub and the addition.
The addition is really only 4 rooms (Bedroom, bathroom, office, closet), with most of that space being the huuuuge walk-in closet.
HVAC was already upgraded in anticipation of the addition, so no problems there. All I have to do is run the ductwork through the existing basement and tie in with the new ducts.
Whenever Smackie is over, y'all should call it the vomitorium.
Man you are all up in Smackies shit today. Let me tell you something about BP and booze. No one and I mean no one can down the sauce like BP and bean fat broads with basketballs. It was a hate crime no doubt and that should give Trey and Kid all the motivation they need to have a retribution lynching but it is dodgeball Jackass style and I dont remember any upchucking. Perhaps a wet floor sign that almost became a makeshift blackjack was trying to tell us something but without a doubt it is always sans hurl. I am just looking forward to the canckled, gut waddle libral Lawyer that visits my hood getting the half court power toss at point blank range.
Let me get this straight - you guys get shithoused and instead of firing up a potato gun, filling up some water balloons and throwing them at pedestrians, or rasing some other sort of hell you chucked a basketball out of a moving car at some lady?
I think BP projected his anger at the wrong person.
