Navigation
Having trouble sleeping so I was studying for a navigation course I am taking. On the chapter of current sailing. You can either use a manuvering board, Write out longhand calculations (Trigonometric formulas(Rogoff 1979, Shufeldt 91)) or a specialized calculator, such as those used by aircraft pilots. Then you plot your DR and crossing LOPs on the chart. Well I have used a pilots calculator and have been off in my plotting by a huge amount when currecting for current. And I finally figured out why.
Are there any pilots out there that would know why?
