This like a AutoCAD drawing or a REAL life ordeal?
SolidWorks drawing creation is the antithesis of ACAD drawing creation.
In SolidWorks, you create an actual three dimensional computer model with all features to scale. The model can be rotated and components of the model can be turned on and off.
From the model, a drawing can be created. You tell the computer which views of the model you want drawn and it pops 'em up in 2D.

In the upper left view, at the very top of the drawing. You can vaguely see the garage door opening. Yes, it's only a two-car. I've received snide remarks about that before.
The front view is of a smallish patio, then the sidewalk, then the parkway grass and palm trees, then the street, then the neighbors home across the street. Oh, well.
The good news is that the home is new, sits up about five feet from the street and has 10 foot ceilings so that by the time you get to the third level deck, you're above everybody else and get a pretty good overlook of the whole city.
Did I mention that I'm three short blocks from the beach?
