beyond fun and legal ramifications....

About this whole Ian shit.

I've had time to reconsider my original stance on what should be done about this. I beleive that an immediate banning was and should be all that he suffers. Not for his own good but for ours. In the sue-happy world we live in I'm concerned that the admins, moderators as well as members could suffer if any more action is taken against him. He could be one of two things: 1)A fucked up kid who is realyl sick or 2) just some immature little shit crying out for attention. He's obviously exposed to material that is far beyond his years and I'm willing to bet he has little to no adult supervision. With that said is it really OUR business to go and police him? Is it our problem to make sure he gets looked at by a Dr. Melphy. Do we really know who were dealing with? What if we piss off his parents? There could be massive consequences even tho we try to do the right thing.

I say just let it lie and let it be.

Discuss.

You are wise beyond your years Craig. This is Pandora's box ... no good can come of opening this. We have no facts, we know nothing, we are meddling where we don't belong. I want NO part of any actions further than banning him.

Re: beyond fun and legal ramifications....

I am not in any position to do anything else besides vote yes to ban him.

If I was, I would let it be known to whom ever would be best to handle this, that the boy needs help.

How are you going to feel if god forbid he someday goes out and molests someone or worse yet kills them?

I feel that not doing something to help makes us just as guilty as him if a tragedy should ever come of this.

Say what you will, but even "joking" like that is a sign of needing help.

If I ever found out he talked like that to my child or family member I would tear his head off with my own two hands.

I am done with this subject. So do not expect me to reply to anyones statements here.

Since I did not read any of his post..... I too am not in a position to share this incident with anyone... but I agree 100% with Jerome... those that did witness exactly what was said should take this to someone?

If someone had come across similar information about the Columbine kids... and shared that information.... potentially other children would not have died at their hands? Would that not be worth losing this forum (if that were the end result?)

I have had similar decisions to make, so I feel that I can speak from my experiences.

He must have posted some disturbing stuff to cause this divisiveness..... I hope someone who witnessed what was posted... can bring themselves to do something.

Like Jerome I will say no more since I did not witness the posts.

I would ask that we let this subject die. We will ban Ian which sends a clear signal as to how the members of this site viewed his actions.

As for anything else, that should be left to those who bear responsibility for the site (the moderators). I would ask that we let them do their jobs and get back to ViperAlley business.

Like, for example, pointing our Gerald's lies.....
