Anybody ever vacationed in Victoria, B.C.?

I'm looking to put together a summer trip for the family, and came across info on Victoria. It appears to be an interesting getaway, plus I have a friend in Seattle we can pop over to see. Anyone spend time there?

Great locale.

Hit up one of the whale watching companies, they take you out in a large Zodiac...especially fun on rough seas

The parliament is gorgeous, great tourist spot. Overall Vancouver Island has lots to see, but i'd also recommend taking the ferry (2 hrs, or you can take a 15min small plane flight) over to Vancouver and checking out the aquarium and some of the other sites.

Definatly a great place for a summer vacation. We made the mistake of going in June when it is still pretty chilly up there.
