Product update, IPOD and new product update-Monster FM wireless Xmitter
Since then I have been beating the hell from it. It hasn't failed, (knock on wood).
I've gotten some extras for it, and thought I would to an update as some of them work well.
This is the cable that will allow a FM transmitter and connect to the bottom interface of an IPOD. It is a little difficult to connect if a case is on the IPOD. Once connected the unit works well.
There were two points that will or could be a confusing when you first set it up. This has 3 presets open to pick depending on interfearence from other stations on the FM dial. The directions to set them are fairly vague and took about 3 minutes to understand. Second is that the volume of the IPOD is lower than the other stations, so when you shut or unplug the power, the radio will be noticably louder.
So far I've been using this for about 3 weeks without any issue. The IPOD charges when it's connected, which is nice if you use it in the gym as I do.
The second item was a protective sleave . It si a soft Neoprene based case that has a clear plastic cover. It has an arm strap for using in a active mode, (working out biking, etc). The connector is tight if you want to connect to the recharge stand. It has protected the MINI from a three foot fall to a cemet deck without any injury to the IPOD.

The Ipod Mini is simply a laptop hard-drive with some interfacing software and a nifty look. If you drop it repteatedly, you'll be fucked because they're very fragile and all of your music will be lost. Just FYI.

I have that FM transmitter too. The only problem is when you get into cities(like Baton Rouge) in which every local DJ, Church Choir, and Nursery home forks out the dough needed to suck up every low frequency station on the FM band. Then I get to hear a nice mix of Deftones and Beethoven's 5th when I turn right on to 4th street.
WAR OLDIES 88.1, OLDER OLDIES 88.3, P.R. IS THE SHIZNIT 88.5, THA THUGZ 4 LIFE 88.7, 8 MILE BATTLE SCENE 88.9, and JESUS CHRIST IS OUR SUPERSTAR 90.1

Clint, thats why I always get an extended warrenty from Best Buy on all the iPods; any time I've had any trouble (even a battery that didnt keep a decent charge), they take it back with hardly any questions and I walk out with a brand new one.

Yeah, the warranty exchange program Best Buy does is pretty neat, it's just a gamble on some stuff, that if in the long term, the thirty dollars is worth it. I didn't know you did that though; nice touch Mike.

think like an economist and you'll quickly calculate that extended warranties really aren't worth it unless you get them at significant discount. Of course this doesn't apply for things you know will break and repairs are artificially expensive (like the iPods).

Still going strong, I have yet to run into the issue of crosstalk as Weeztones has, I've been trying out different set ups for a boat install. Implanning on using the IPOD not only for music but for data as well and storing some maps on it too.
the audio system for the boat has a mini motorola AUX as well
