Re: Help with a Jeep

I have had 4 Jeeps. My wife drives an Unlimited now:

If you are going to jack one up or anything, do NOT get the X. Get a sport, unlimited, or a Rubicon. Whatever it is, get the Dana 44 rear end. The Dana 35 SUCKS!!

Withall that being said, the Unlimited drives MUCH nicer then an regular TJ.

This is my other jeep in the middle of its transformation:

I bought my Unlimited with every option except the block warmer. It was $24k plus ttl. You can find that same one down near $22k after rebates now. The Rubicon version is nice too. IT has the lockers, lower gear transfercase, and lower gears in the axles. You just put a lift, some tires, and you are ready to go.

Also, RE (Rubicon Express) is the way to go for the lifts. Superlift, skyjacker, and TeraFlex use shitty end links. If you go higher then a 3" lift, do a Long-arm kit to keep the ride better.

Chip, is that a Rubicon without the letters on the hood? Looks like Rub wheels. And why is the grill not chrome?

Good looking Jeep. Sorry for the noob ?'s but I'm just getting started (been thinking about getting a Jeep for about 25 hours now).

Nooooooooooooooooo! You guys are killing me. What looked to be a cheap purchase is going to end up setting me back serious coin. I hope KrazyPSI doesn't see this because he will probably push me over the edge. Lord knows he has a tricked out Jeep that I'll want.

Re: Help with a Jeep

That is a regular LJ with Rubicon Wheels. I went with 32" tires and didn't want to lift it, so I tucked them under a little. Plus I got a good deal on the wheels.

The chrome grill is a dealer add on, not factory.

Here is a Rubicon Express LJ:

I see the Georgia crew has a new tow vehicle for the '05 season. Is Tony the one on the hood?
