looking for a truck....

right now im in the middle of looking for a truck, i ended up blowing the motor + tranny on my 1990 dodge ram (and the body wasnt worth a shit anyways) so it was a total loss. i need to build credit so a loan looks the way to go.
here are my options right now.
a) go cheap, spend around 3k and get a last 80's mid 90's truck just to go around in (get a personal loan to build credit)

b) get a used truck, 2001 - 2002 (get a loan again, build credit)

c) save up and buy another 800 doller beater to last another year (like my last truck) but not build credit.

this trucks carfax said it was in a accident that caused over 1000 dollers in damamge (to the front end) so im not sure about it.

any vehical i get will get titled in minnesota (to get out of the state inspections and such)

Hard to compare the two seeing as how a truck like that is really only meant to tow shit.

A chipped diesel will have more get up and go than any V-8 gas engine and be cheaper to operate and last 2-3 times as long.
