Actually he was one of us, a total car guy, had one of everything including high end Lambos and Ferraris. And drove the SHIT out of them on the Eastern shore of Maryland where he lived...Constantly getting pulled over, and of course connected the way we would all like to be and bought his way out of the tickets. And the other funny thing about his image is everybody thought he was a little guy, he was actually about 6'4" When he filmed commercials he had everybody stand on chairs to make him look short, he actually was smart enough to know that his voice and his looks like a chicken face would result in great advertising. The best story about him is from the early 80's Oprah Winfrey started her career in Baltimore on a local station....at that time she was pretty ugly and probably upwards of 300 pounds, I have seen this tape...She interviewed Perdue and at the end of the interview she asked him...."How do you feel that people think you look like a chicken?" He looked her right in the eye and said..."How do you feel that people think you look like a gorilla?"
