I heard on the radio yesterday that gas prices will probably rise $.25/gallon at the pumps very shortly. I think premium gas is already about $2.20 where I am, so I guess I look forward to paying close to $2.50 a gallon soon. Both my daily driver and my Viper require premium fuel 91 or above. This is fuckin' bullshit except the fact that our gas prices are still much lower than in other countries.
I personally think gas is cheap and as long as it doesn't affect general driving habits it is probably underpriced. A gallon of milk, heck, a gallon of bottled water cost more. How much more fun can you get out of $2.50? Probably at $5 to $6 dollars a gallon is where I'd start being deterred from driving as much. Until then I'll just be driving the Viper and the H1 (gas powered version) pretty much as I like. Beyond that I can see a Prius in my future.
My Durango gets 11.5 mpg and my RT gets around 8 mpg...I laugh hysterically every time I fill up...Hell, I borrowed my buddy's Escalade today and filled it up for the fuck of it!
You may all buy go purchase KIA'a now, whining really doesn't become you...
Let me restate that, the Houston office of our customs practice focuses on customs taxes for petroleum companies. Although much of the same can be said for the rest of the practice groups in our office here--we have a heavy, heavy energy focus. In fact, we just "rebranded" one of our floors to be the "Energy Center," with the goal of presenting all kinds of tax planning as an integrated whole.
And, if you own options for your employer, I say the odds of doubling your AGI and taxes are pretty good this year. Stock prices have shot up 50% in a few months.

Soooooo...can you get me a "rapid-refund" or not? Sup???
