More goat stories from Northern CA
No lions, no death, nothing bad.... so if that's what you wanted, wrong thread!
Since 2 of our goats were killed by a mountain lion a few weeks back, we got a new goat from a local breeder. He knew she (Abbie) was pregnant, but didn't know how far along.
Here's a pic of her yesterday

Re: More goat stories from Northern CA
Nobody but my wife has seen them in person yet. I had an early call this AM, and left when it was dark. My wife had a feeling they were going to be born this AM (we went out and checked on her a couple times during the night). As of about 4AM, they weren't born. She took the kids to school this AM, and when she came home, there were 2 new babies.
She said they weigh "about 3 pounds" (sounds really light to me) and they are super soft. Abbie is very nice, and doesn't mind being around people at all. She didn't mind when Kathy (my wife) held the babies (one of them fell asleep in her arms). Kathy called the school to alert the kids that there are 2 new additions at home.
I haven't tried the milk
Yes she has nice teets (unless you are talking about Red5 again)

Only if you promise to electrocute yourself at his house, too.
