I just drove from NYC to San Antonio TX..NON-STOP!! Total of 30 hours and 1857 miles! I stopped for gas, piss breaks and a couple of drive-thru's. My knees feel like they were going to give out when I started taking all my stuff out of the car.
Time for a serious shower and some sleep!!
Anyone drive this many hours/miles straight before?

Thats a long haul. I made a similar trip straight through once. Ft. Erie Canada to San Antonio.
That's pretty awesome.
Best I've done is New Orleans to Pheonix in 24 hours and St. Louis to Provo, Utah in about 24 hours (driving those mountain roads while falling asleep at the wheel of a Hummer H1 was no fun) and San Antonio to Needles, California in about 18 hours.

My longest is Saint Louis to Lubbock to Vegas, ~1800 miles, took 32 hours plus 2 more that I spent at my parent's house. I hadn't slept in the 4 days prior, had been prepping our SEMA feature vehicles. I got there 2 hours before the closing deadline for invited feature vehicles (9am), had to wash and wax a quad cab Ram and two choppers, then sit in the Gold parking lot outside the convention center for 5 hours before being allowed in to park the vehicles. Finally got to my hotel around 9pm after being up straight for ~144 hours.

Why don't you do that one again one of these days, and bring some of those other rednecks along with you. They can pay for gas and tire wear you know. :thumb:

I am thinking about having to change my friends. With all the rich vette and Porsche guys showing up as of late and making a point to post their bank statements I think I need to move on. Whats next, guys with beat up Ford Explorers running their mouths off about being whales?
and the Explorer isn't beat-up; it's just used for its actual, intended purpose. Those scratches come from tree branches and those dings come from rocks

Well if you weren't busy buying all of your neighbors houses maybe they'd stop throwing rocks at you, and if you'd stop having naked playboy models strutting around your poolside then the neighbors kids wouldn't be climbing through the bushes and scratching your truck.
WAR MAYBE THIS SUPREME RULER OF THE UNIVERSE THING HAS GONE A LITTLE BIT TOO FAR

You can take the Jew out of the Shtetl but you cant take the Shtetl out of the Jew.
Holy shit! That cat must have been having an absolute fit! I can't even drive to the vets without the cats having heart attacks.
The sounds they make when riding in the car haunt my dreams.
You got that right Greg. Those fuckers make noises you've never heard before when they are in a car for 30 hours!
Thankfully its got some room inside for him to move around in. He actually wasn't too bad. What sucks is I drove from Orlando to NY about 3 weeks ago. That was 1200 miles and took 20 hours due to bad weather. The cat never made a peep on that trip. I guess the time started to wear on him like it did on me.
Drove from North East Pennsylvania straight to Miami Florida in a 1992 RS America, purchased my 1994 viper, then crashed at a cheap motel outside of Fort Lauderdale 6 hour then drove back to PA. Total trip time 52 hours including the time to buy the car. Total mileage 2750 miles.
