Can ANYONE answer this???
This morning, a weatherman on a Canadian satellite tv station I was watching said:
"Today's high temperature will be 0 degrees, and because of an arctic cold front moving thru, tomorrow it will be twice as cold"
So, can someone please tell me what tomorrows high temp will be????

Are you the same guy who runs around grocery stores complaining about the "10 items or less?" signs?

Re: Can ANYONE answer this???
Well, the high temp was 0 but you didn't tell us what the low temp was. The weather man was saying it will be twice as cold tomorrow and since we all know that the temperature never stays exactly the same the entire day, he most likely was referring to the low temp or average of the day.
If you tell us what the low temp is, we can answer your question.
[/end smart ass reasoning]

Re: Can ANYONE answer this???
Simple! Being a Canadian broadcast most likely means the 0 was in Celsius, indicating a perfect 32 degrees Fahrenheit if we translate to our more familiar scale. Now recently I read a study that said the ideal human "comfortable" temperature was 75 degrees F. This means that if we define "cold" as a measure below ideal comfort, it was 43 degrees below ideal. If it were then to be twice as cold, we would expect a temperature of 86 degrees below ideal, placing us at -11 degrees fahrenheit. If we then convert back to celsius, we calculate a temperature of -23.8 degrees Celsius.

Ok, if we're taking the mathematical approach, then this is clearly what the guy meant:
"Today it's colder than a witch's tit. Tomorrow it will be colder than both of them."

I can see Buffalo from my front door and it looks so sunny and inviting.
Of course I'll have to get used to the increased smog levels, the corrupt cops, the constant threat to my personal safety, the democratic party, the poverty, and the downright rudeness, but I think I'll survive. After all......cheap booze!

Well, the beer isn't cheaper. Sure it is less expensive per beer, but you'll have to drink 67 of them to get drunk.

ooof, reminds me of my first trip to Colorado and discovering 3.2 beer. I thought I would explode I drank so much before I realized what the problem was....That drive from the Denver airport to Aspen took forever, drink 3, stop and pee, drink 3 stop and pee....

So your bladder can hold 36 ounces of liquid. For some reason, I wouldn've been okay not knowing that.
