The head of intelligence services in Baghdad says that there are more than 200,000 fighters


IRAQ’S rapidly swelling insurgency numbers 200,000 fighters and active supporters and outnumbers the United States-led coalition forces, the head of the country’s intelligence service said yesterday.
The number is far higher than the US military has so far admitted and paints a much grimmer picture of the challenge facing the Iraqi authorities and their British and American backers as elections loom in four weeks.


“I think the resistance is bigger than the US military in Iraq. I think the resistance is more than 200,000 people,” General Muhammad Abdullah Shahwani, director of Iraq’s new intelligence services, said.

Why do you consider the truth to be anti-American? Is it automatically anti-American if it happens to be bad news? Does concealing the truth make you feel better about America?

Like I said before, you can't handle the truth. You had better stick with Fox.

I don't consider the truth to be anti-american. I consider 'you' to be anti-american because all you do is post the gloom and doom scenarios - which are not all encompassing. Out of the 50 minute positive story - you would pick up on the 2 seconds spent on something negative - and explode that one small point. That is how you look at things - when it is republican at the wheel.

I think many on here would put you on the side of 'anti-american' due to your post topics and being constantly negative towards our troops and officials - no matter the news or facts - you would spin the negative on every one of those topics.

So, with all you bashing of our military - that you feel should be used for anything but war, and our commanders who you despise because of your ideology - do you think all of your bantering would favor a terrorist more - or one of our military people?

That's fine, except those fuckers shoot back and like to plant bombs. Worse yet is that they don't care about blowing themselves up as long as the take their enemies with them.

The part that I find disturbing is that with all the killing we are doing of insurgents, they seem to be growing in number.
