Has enough time passed to request BACKNBLACK back?

If I can, I'd like to make a motion to bring back BACKNBLACK. He has made a public apology and agreed to play nice. YoTony is a colorful charcacter that crossed the line a number of times, but I think enough time has passed that a second chance is worthy of consideration. Moderators can put him on a short leash.

Sure, let's dilute the aggregate I.Q. of the pool. Why not? The honesty quotient has just dropped significantly ever since Wilks showed up, so why not dumb down while we're 'sleazing up'?

Well, he was banned once. I dont believe in automatic lifetime bans (that's so ORGish); I would rather see people who are banned be allowed to be reinstated if the majority agrees.

I asked once before and was voted down. I've waited about a month before asking again and would probably not bother if voted down a second time (believing that if people still feel the same ways two months later, then it is unlike that votes will change anytime soon).

I'm not defending what Tony did - in fact, I think alot of what he said was seriously over the line and almost unforgivable.

There were many people who supported letting him back; so thought it was worthy of discussion.

My opinion is known. If you care to hear my 'forecast' on how well his resurrection will probably work out then PM me and I'll read the future for you. Otherwise, I abstain from any further votes on the subject of Duh Tony. Do what you want, this place is what you make of it.

I told Tony back on .morgue a while ago that I was not out to get him and that I have no agenda regarding him. I'm a man of my word. I will abstain in the next round of votes on the subject of his reinstatement.

i think we should have stages of banning. like a first voted ban should be a month, then second voted ban would be 3 months, then 3rd you are out. like a 3 strike rule or something....that way, we can see if maybe he did learn his lesson....

Mike are you going to propose he be re-instated every month until he gets back on?

With all due respect, it appears that YOU want him back and you're being a squeaky wheel hoping to get some grease. A vote was taken and he was denied. Should there be vote after vote after vote? Maybe 6 months from now there will be a "6 months is long enough lets let him back"

He's gone. That should be that.

With all due respect, Mike. Its not "just me" - look at the posts in this thread. There is plenty of room for discussion here about how to handle banned members that wasnt resolved. kungfool supported his return, as did many others.

The reality is we havent resolved what being banned means - is it a lifetime ban or is it something that is open for discussion? Or is it as suggested - first ban for 30 days, second for 90 and third is lifetime?

While I hope Tony would behave I have no way of knowing if he would or wouldnt (he has said he would behave before and failed), this is more about our policies than about Tony.

Tell me what the policies are and I'll stick to them. If I'm not allowed to ask for another vote, I wont ask for one. If I can, then who are you to tell me I can't?

Ahhh so you remember that episode? Stole his ex g/f's identity and posted a lot of nasty shit to try to trash her. Yeah, that's one of his more benign M.O.'s. Flat out crime and thievery from the Viper community is another one of his moves.
