These babies are awesome, they even have a built-in Dolby Digital, DTS, and the new 96/24 decoder so you can hook up any computer, stand alone DVD player, projector, or any other audio device (it has optical, analog, and digital inputs) straight to the device for 5.1 surround sound. I've had the pleasure of using my buddies 5500's for a weekend and they are the cleanest sound I've heard even rivaling some high end home theater systems I've seen.

Geez, is this scam nation wide? White cargo van with 'deal of a life time' $1000 speakers for $200..... Had a guy approach me at a 7-11 about 10 years ago... Of course, I passed on this awesome deal

Its every where! I've been approached in NY, NJ, Miami, and LA by people with the same exact scam and just recently my wifes brother came home with a set of $2000 speakers he bought for $50. He thought he was the man until I showed him a website documenting the scam.

We have had a van doing the same thing in our area for over 10 years. And I'm in the Maryland/D.C. Suburbs. I never realized this was a "nationwide" scam.

Are they selling cheap speakers and pawnign them off as $2000. ones? O are they stolen speakers...

Ironically, we dont have shit like this in my neighborhood, but we do have murder suicides...

the ones in the van are cheap speakers. sometimes used and sometimes new. Even if new, they are crappy speakers and overrated.

I had one of those vans pull up to me once. Least to say, I don't see them around anymore.

those logitech speakers are nice! 500w RMS should be enough to take on your needs I would hope. lol. If you're handy, you should build your own set, unless you really need the surround sound.

Happened in Allentown, PA just a few weeks ago, in front of a WalMart. Some punks grabbed the guys selling the cheep-o speek-o's, beat em up and stole their van. The van was found a day later....THE SPEAKERS WERE STILL INSIDE!!
