Friends...?

I dont know about you, but do you ever seem to run across that "friend" that is a great person in the beginning, but as you get to know him you realize that he isnt so great? It seems that lately there have been a lot of people I come across that are true friends in the beginning, but they slowly learn how to take advantage of me and fuck it all up. I am a very generous person so in the beginning im sure some of these guys are caught by surprise and really do appreciate the little things I take care of. Being in school, picking up fast food and not asking for payment or buying somebody a drink is a pretty big deal. Am I wrong to expect after the 20th time I picked up the tab, that one of my buddies just might say, "Hey, I've got this one." Instead, they look at me like, "Hey, are you going to pick this one up too?" I have one particular friend that is worse than others. The sad thing is now that I have basically stopped going out of my way to treat him, our friendship has died down. Granted, it shows me what type of friendship we had, but it's shitty that people are like that.

Those aren't friends. Those are dependents. They should qualify for tax write-offs. [img]/images/graemlins/laughing.gif[/img] But seriously, after about 3 one-sided buys in a row, you should recognize what you're up against.
