Good luck Joker. Gotta love the name of the gallery. Suspect their may be a few disappointed people that show up in raincoats.
The lady that owns it is a cool lady. They are trying to build an art community in that area. I am a little nervous though. I wish I had more time to do more paintings. I will only have 6. So anybody flying out to see it *cough*
No Remjob this is not a "Golden Shower", this is an Art Show, No Dolphins from a Flaming Artist about a Flaming Meteor that kills Flipper in the Ocean.
All the Best of Luck Joker, "Knock Them Dead". :thumb:
Can you paint a viper or my viper or have you done ANY cars before? I'd love to support you work. I'd be interested in that! Probably not your thing, but thought I'd ask
Actually I have never even drawn a car. I have a friend that draws cars and I asked him to draw a sample Viper but he hasn't provided me one yet. Hell I asked him to draw a Cobra a year ago, still waiting on that. The dude can draw cars though that is for sure. I wanted to help him out by giving him some exposure on here for those that wanted their Vipers drawn. I think the guy would do great on tapping into the custom car scene but I think he smokes too much weed.
Right now I am working on getting local exposure and I have to find more time to get more paintings out. It is frustrating having these ideas lined up and having to slowly do them. I am trying to cram 15 years of lost time in that I took off. I have conteplated going smaller canvas so I can start popping more pieces out but I love large canvas and the paintings have a much bigger impact. Oh well I am thankful that I have the space and resources to do what I love in my spare time.
Thank you Makara for wishing me good luck. I am curious as to your feed back with the background you have and I am all ears if you wish to lend your opinion.
Oh and if Batman show's up...don't go easy on him this time.
Batman will pay if he ruins my show!
It isn't that kind of show, my reward will be the feedback and reaction I get from regular people as well as local artists. The true test will be me being judged by my peers.
The gallery also has an international artist named Brekan in the main gallery and I hoping he has a large following because it will give me more exposure. One cool thing is I am going into the show with one already sold and two more pending. I just have to sell the other 3
methinks Gerald meant the slithering kind of viper, not the rumbling kind.
damn I am a dumb ass, I thought it was wierd he would want to paint a car on a car but I wasn't sure because you had a dolphin painted on yours
no prob... I know these things
but the recursiveness of a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper painted on a dodge viper has a nice sound to it.
Dude, the Cone is a great place for your first show! Sweet. If you're looking to do more shows in the future (I'm assuming you are), my friend Scott owns the Paper Heart gallery in phoenix. He just moved the gallery into a new building and he's looking for new artists to feature. Let me know if you want some contact info.
My mom owns Mudpony Gallerie in Gilbert. I told her about your work and she wants to go out to your show and check it out. I dig it...I'm going to try and make it back to AZ around that time anyway, so maybe I'll get a chance to check it out.
So, congrats! As amusing as it is, the novelty of anti-Bush art in phoenix and scottsdale has worn off, so it's nice to see something real again.
