Over the past few days we've seen alot of drama on the site and one of the "problems" the moderators faced was the difficulity in getting enough feedback in a short amount of time to take action or get support for an action taken. It's unreasonable to think that Moderators will be on the site 24 hours a day or even daily and so it only seems reasonable to add a few more "moderate" Moderators to the list to try and get timely feedback.
Our Constitution doesn't really address the expansion of Moderators, so I'm hoping that you will all see the effort that has been made to try and make the group a fair one. This may not be the last additions to the group, but as I've said before finding people who are even willing to take on the task has been a challange itself.
I think the idea of a couple rotating moderators has merit that should be explored further. I've had only one person volunteer for the task, so we would have to consider how it works and how to put it in place. There are responsibilities involved in the job and the person must be trustworthy - there are times when moderators are involved in discussions that simply cannot become material in the forums or used later if for some reason they are unhappy with their role.

Seriously, the goal is to have a group that is capable of discussing topics in a detached fashion. People who can be trusted and will put the site above all else. So, we've tried to have representation from the Shit Talkers to the Liberals and a few in between (adding a woman will help give a voice to those who have been largely under-represented). It doesn't make it easy to come to a decision, but that's the point. However, if you add in people who don't share the same core values, then nothing would ever get done.
Alot of in-fighting goes on in the mod forum when we don't agree and the last thing I want is someone in the group who runs their mouth about who said what to who in the forums or behind our backs.
13 people involved have access to the Mod forum - seems to me that the range of our members is well represented.
Congrats on the additions. I'm not familiar with tRacy v-10, but Getbit I do. Should make for an interesting times ahead.
