The low-carb diets, high costs help drive baker to bankruptcy

CITY - Interstate Bakeries Corp., which makes Wonder Bread and Twinkies, on Wednesday sought bankruptcy protection from its creditors. The company was felled by the combination of increasingly health-conscious consumers and high operating costs.

For some reason, I find this to be a gut busting laugh

fuck the bakers, they made tons of cash off me for years..LOL....not anymore.

We are not selling the pasta like we used to. In it's place we are selling lots of sandwiches, minus the bread. I don't know how anyone can do the no carb diet. I think I would die if I tried.

I ate at a Pizza joint in Monteagle Tenn. last week that offered pizza without the crust. I had to ask how that worked and they said it comes in a bowl... [img]/images/graemlins/shocked[/img]
