Gotta hand it to Chevrolet for their new commercials about their new Chevrolet Cobalt SS. The car looks good and from what I read about it, it should be an awesome car. For those of you who haven't seen the commercials or know what I am talking about here is a link. Just click on videos for the commercials. They will be offered in 3 coupes and 3 sedans. They going to be starting at $14,000! The SS Supercharged will be starting at $21,000! Not bad at all for 205 HP, 18 inch rims, 5 speed tranny and 4 wheel anti-locks.
SRT-4 will beat the shit out of it and has a better warranty. There is a comparo of the SRT-4 and Saturn Ion Redline in this months R&T which is pretty much the same car as the Cobalt.

Ok, this thread wasn't about what is better or who can beat who. It was to give Chevy some credit for the ads and also some props for the design and affordability of their new car. So what if the SRT-4 can beat it...I'm sure the Cobalt can beat your Lebaron too.
what can't beat my lebaron??? That's not the point. All I'm saying is that whoever is behind the whole philosophy of that car needs to learn their shit. Suprchargers on small displacment engines is STUPID. There is way more potential with the SRT-4 plus you can buy factory upgrades that don't void your warranty. Turbos are simply a better way to go, are less taxing on the engine, don't take power to make power and will last longer. Simple as that. Do you even know anything about forced induction?

No, I never read anything about it or marvel at all of its power when introduced to a Viper engine. I know nothing.
further proof you are a dumb shit. We're talking engines with less than 2.5L of displacement not 8.0.
s/c is crap for small displacement. if u care to dispute that i have all day.
you completely misinterpreted my statement. Furthermore, you should retract your post and re-read it. It might help to further answer your question you threw my way.

Perhaps you need to start making some sense then. You said that you understood based on what you have read about V-10's and FI. So tell me, what do you know about small displacement applications?
So chevy supercharged a 2 door cavalier. Whoopty do. Its about damn time since they're a few years behind of everyone else in the 200+ hp compact market.

Craig, its easy enough to sit here and argue with you since you and I both have the WHOLE internet at our disposal. In this case, we'd both probably be right but I just don't have time to sit here and argue with you. Being signed online for 1 day, 18 hours and 37 minutes isn't something to be proud about either, try picking on someone that has that much time to be signed on with you.
