Barry, you have to realize that this isnt the first instance that the VCA tried to bully somebody that had support from both the Alley and VCA. you think that the officer from the VCA you talked to would give you an honest insight? to question the credibility of MP is insane and out of character. The Alley has supported the V10 Nationals 10 times over. the VCA has done borderline nothing. the Alley is a force to reckon with, and the VCA cant handle it. to be honest, i think it's all MarkO's fault. he keeps rubbing it in the face of all the VCA guys that he won a 42" plasma. or is it that we call them out on their Hitler-esque operation? to be honest, i am DAMN surprised that they let the Elite Motorsports thread continue on. they try to impound the vision that the viper community is a utopia, but the alley disproves that, and they know it. what they did to Dr. Roof and all the sponsors/racers of the V10 Nationals is bullshit. PERIOD.

I must admit to being a bit confused about which line TM is standing in; because I'm not aware of any involvement by him in this matter. As such, I don't think he is even in the same line I am.

I'm not raising a big stink, I never have; I'm just pointing out a portion of the story they left out.

I don't think that TM should have to pick "allegiances," Smoke. But he shouldn't be calling PJ on the carpet for speaking the facts as he understands them. TM could have said "my understanding of the facts is....." Shouldn't be any reason to curtail discussion; the truth should come out, whatever it may actually be.

On the plus side, at least I can rest easy knowing that I don't have to blame Dodge. I would have been conflicted next year if I bought a new Dodge if they were playing games (I self-impose buying moratoriums for companies that piss me off, usually for six months or a year). But if it's the VCA instead, that's their own deal.

When we ran the tribute for PMUM in VQ, I was told that someone within Dodge Legal had reviewed our site and took exception to a thread on Palestinians.

We were told the tribute could run without the ViperAlley tag line. I wasn't suggesting the VCA had anything to do with the removal (although they could easily have been, but nobody suggested they did). But it is an example of how we have been treated by Viper HQ/Dodge.

As for the Nationals issues, well, Torque is hardly in a position to discuss those issues; so I'll let the events and the participants speak for themselves.

Yet one more reason why I haven't joined the VCA. Just think about this for a sec. If someone buy as viper, shouldn't they atleast get a year free without having to pay.

What does that have to do with the issue at hand. simple. it all boiles down to customer support.

The VCA and Dodge (or DC as it may be) Should support any viper event. Why? marketing. The whole thing works on a "you scrach my back and I scrach your back" kinda way. The Viper is a symbol for Dodge. It creates a "trickle down" or "Halo" affect on the rest of the brand.

I do feel bad for all the tuners involved who got ass fucked without the asstroglide. I hope the V10 nats keeps grown. I hope it gets so large that the VCA and Dodge will have to recognise it.

So in closeing. FUCK VCA, FUCK DODGE FOR NOT SUPPORTING THE V-10 NATS THEY WAY THEY SHOULD HAVE. [img]/images/graemlins/upyours[/img]

I can see why Dodge and the VCA would not want to be seen as a promotor of Viperalley. If their rationale is liability with having the VCA and VA names on the same brochure that they mail, then they should have no objection to giving the registration list to the V10Nationals so it can send its own brochure. One would presume that there would be no liability or "badwill" if Dodge wasn't the creator or mailer of the brochure, but was simply added to the list of many supporters for the V10Nationals own brochure. It's good that the VCA and Dodge are at least supporting the series.

Steve's explanation is laughable. The VCA throwing their weight around to get the brochure removed from the mailing is just further proof of what asinine antics go on in that organization. It also demonstrates a perfect reason why so many long time members have left the VCA. Dodge's excuse regarding liability is also a load of crap. They have MUCH more liability as a sponsor of an event where lives can and are lost than showing up as a sponsor on a brochure with other sponsors. If it's image they feel they are protecting, then they should just grow a set of nads and say so.

They both suck for doing this but the VCA sucks extra hard and always has.
