Is it still possible? How does it work in the Olympics, Lithuania and someone else is 4-0, USA is 2-2.
(I think) they have to win there next game to make the quarter finals. Then, if they win the rest of there games, they win gold. On the other hand, if they lose there next game, they are OUT, and do not qualify for the quater finals/metal round. No medals, no nothing.
In there defense, they did hustle and give 100% IMO against Lithuania (Unlike Puerto Rico). After watching the game, Lithuania is as good (or close) to our NBA team. I think the next Olympics the BEST NBA players will be FORCED to play - or be shunned by the American public. ESPECIALLY if they don't win the gold.

If we could send one existing NBA team over, it would be FAR easier to get gold. At least we'd have a few shooters that could actually MAKE a 22' jumpshot!
