Simpsonville Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges
Man Accused On 10 Counts

SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. -- A Simpsonville man is in custody on child pornography charges, and investigators say there may be other victims.
Greenville County Sheriff's Sgt. Shea Smith said officers from the State Law Enforcement Division, Laurens County, Greenville County and the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Thomas Davis on Monday.
Davis, 37, is charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Deputies said the case began in March when a 15-year-old girl came to authorities and said Davis had sexual contact with her.
Acting on a search warrant for Davis' home, an investigator located digital photos of the girl engaged in sexual acts with Davis.
Investigators said they believe Davis opened his home to troubled juveniles and would allow them to stay at his home. Investigators said they believe that was how Davis and the girl met.
Smith said that investigators also found pictures of other juveniles who have not been identified and may also be victims.
Anyone who believes they or their child had contact with Thomas Davis is asked to contact Investigator Jim Perry at 467-5370 to assist in identifying the juveniles in the other photographs.
Each count of sexual exploitation of a minor carries a potential sentence of 10 years in prison. Davis is being held on $100,000 bond.

I studied criminal psychology in school and spent a lot of time on crimes committed against children. Just friggen sickening.
The big problem is that usually the offender appears as a normal person, if not quiet and sometimes is barely even noticed. Actually, that is often true of all sorts of deviant criminals including serial killers etc.
It is also pretty annoying when you see these guys get a few years in prison and then they are out again, but that's another chapter.

Not that I'd go with some 15 year old girl or any girl under 18 or advocate it or think it is OK, but 15 year olds these days aren't exactly innocent like 15 year olds of years ago. If you have a 15 year old daughter right now you may think so and think of her as Daddy's little girl, but you would not believe some of the stuff girls of that age are doing sexually these days. Just talk to your male relatives of that age. I was shocked. I mean when I was 15 I was a Sophomore in high school I knew what I was doing and all about sex and stuff and with the internet and TV and stuff kids of that age are even more mature and knowledgable about sex then back in my day. They've seen it all and probably done it all by that age.

Interesting commentary and very accurate. I have two teenage sons and am constantly shocked at the behavior of kids their age. The parents, at least where I live, really don't seem to give a shit what their kids do. Example: Today we are buying something at our local department store. In front of us are a mother and daughter. Among their purchases are a few pairs of women's underwear. Scratch that - there are a few pieces of colored dental floss tagged as women's underwear. These were G-strings and nothing more. A thong has more material. So we are thinking that the mother must be buying this for herself. Yet when one doesn't have a price tag, the mom says not to bother with a price check and to put it back. Then the girl, who is maybe 14 years old, gets all pissed off. Yep, they were for her. As they walk out you can see the band (string) of her current pair - out for the world to see with the low-rider pants. With her mother.
Now these weren't "trailer trash" or people that were out of the loop. They were upper middle class at the very least. And it is rampant around here. We routinely see young teenagers (12-14 years old) walking around in the neighborhood at 2:00 AM. Last week a father went looking for his daughter who was out with a friend at 4:00 AM. He found them, both drunk and sexually assaulted. Both were age 14 and with a large group of other 13-15 year olds having a party. And both were hospitalized, one in critical condition. So where were the parents in all of this? Who knows. But it happened just a couple miles from my house in a nice neighborhood.
Definitely no excuse for the depraved bastard mentioned in the start of this thread. Just thought I would add an observation on the direction our youth has taken of late. It ain't pretty.
PS. And thanks to guys like Nexus (gaming software), my sons will probably die virgins at age 95. Doom 3, then Half Life 2, etc., etc. I can't get these brats outta my house! [img]/images/graemlins/wink[/img]
