A full 75 [img]/images/graemlins/shocked[/img]percent of black voters actually expect Democrats to lower taxes, according to an exhaustive study by Republican consultant Richard Nadler, who cites stunning support for GOP policies in a poll conducted by Kellyanne Conway following the 2002 midterm elections.
The survey shows that 69 [img]/images/graemlins/shocked[/img] percent of African-Americans believe that Democrats will also better "protect the rights of the unborn." And 62 [img]/images/graemlins/shocked[/img] percent of blacks say Democrats are "more likely to reduce terrorism by strengthening the national defense."
My personal opinion is that blacks prefer democrats over republicans by a technicality. The technicality being that republicans are usually more associated with the south, and are portrayed by the liberal media as being "racist".
So to blacks, the democrats are the lesser of two evils.

Blatently saying something like: Black people are stupid and poor and they love democrats becasue they support welfare is racist. Saying XX% of this ethnicity support these poeple is statistical. The only thing I'll say about "the black vote" is that I'm always amazed that 17% of the population can constitute an important voting bloc. Sad state of affairs.
