I have some graphs I want to capture, but can't. I also can't attach them in emails. Will a screenshot program allow me to attach them? Anyone have a good one?
Just open what you want to take a shot of, press the "Print Screen/SysRq" button on your keyboard (top right). Then open Paint or PhotoShop, go to "File", click on "New". Then when that new window opens, go to "Edit" and "Paste". Then go back to "File", click on "Save As".

when I put the cursor on the graph it turns into a hand and when I hit PRTSCRN nothing happens.....the hand just blinks.

Nothing is suppose to happen, its just taking a picture of what you see. You wont see the image until you open Paint (or some other program of the likes) and paste the image in there.
