Not QUITE the same, but my former neighbor was a professional driver whose heyday was prototypes (I have a photo of his Lola GTP car somewhere around here), and when I met him, he still owned an IMSA GT spec Porsche. Apparently it was built right before the changed a bunch of rules, so it was never actually raced. One night he took it out and I follwed him in the Viper. He lost me on the highway... he said over the bridge (the Buckman, for those of you familiar with Jax and I-295) he hit 196 MPH.
