Thinking About a New Computer....
Is this worth a shit? I don't really need much, just internet and basic shit. I don't really play online games or anything else.

Re: Thinking About a New Computer....
We have that one at home, it has been fine for all 4 of us to use. Kelly downloads tons of stuff and we haven't had any problems with running out of room or anything yet. I've added a bunch of software to it, so IMO for the money we spent, it's been worth it.

Don't really want a laptop. Why would I need more ram? I'm not much of a computer geek, and the only downloads I do are videos from here. I would like a little bigger screen, but I don't really feel like paying $400 for an extra two inches.

RAM helps everything run smoother.. including video. 256 should be fine.. but you might as well buy it now cause its cheap

Re: Thinking About a New Computer....
Kinda pricy box IMHO. 2gig should be standard these days. 256 isn't crap.
It all depends what you want to do with the box.

Re: Thinking About a New Computer....
Carrot: Fry's Electronics over in Arlington always hold some killer deal on a good Comp pretty much every friday. I just bought a new comp from them recently and im pretty happy with it.
Best thing about it was i didnt have to send in a shit load of rebates to get it at the advertised price. I saw a bunch of comps for a decent price but you had to send in a ton of rebates to get it at the price they were advertising. And further more, if you make one mistake filling out the rebate forms, they won't refund you the rebate... just a pain in the ass all the way around.
I almost bought a Dell, and ended up getting a better deal at Fry's.

You guys are way too serious.
Carrot, get a pink color PC and make sure to get the New USB 2.0 BigBoob attachment.
It clamps at the top of the screen, for those evenings when the bar bathrooms are being serviced.
The boobies lit up randomly, like the old Simon game, and you have to squeeze them in the order they lit up.
Hours of safe clean fun!

I was thinking more like a 66% increase for myself, but yes, it would be a deal!

I'm surprised they haven't come out with a pill yet to make a woman's vagina smaller.
BC, Upgrade the ram to 512, and maybe upgrade the Hard Drive to 80 GB in the event you want to save some vides/music files on it.

Re: Thinking About a New Computer....
Hardware Raid 0 setup (speeeeeed) on 10K RPM (at least) scsi drives. 2gig ram, nice ATI card, SB Live series sound card and your set.
Drive speed and ram are the biggest speed points on a box. Pick your flavor of CPU, AMD has always served me well (they run hot).
