Yes, it is. He is extremely talented, and has done some beautiful work, his pieces reflect what a true artist he is. That is my horse Viper (Pookie), he has really captured his spirit. I am very impressed.
Thank you Laura and thank you for trusting me with your pictures of Pookie. Painting that was a labor of love! I enjoyed talking to Pookie in the photographs, demanding that he tell me his story! Perhaps I had too much wine those evenings. I am truly flattered that you like Spirit Horse. I walked away from art all together when I joined the service at 18 and when I came home I was dead inside and it wasn't until my wife was going through some old boxes and saw my abstract sketches I did when I was younger and she became my biggest fan and inspiration to dive back into it and continue where I left off 15 years back. The Bull was my first time painting with acrylic and Spirit Horse is my 4th out of 5. Each painting I have learned something new and I only have 15 years to catch up where I should be. I sketched my first abstract when I was 11 and while I can appreciate realism I learned at a young age that other than for the discipline of capturing the basic essence of a subject, I really did not enjoy drawing realistic landscapes or bowls of fruit or light studies. I can appreciate realism and the challenge it poses to capture it. However I strive to capture the energy or feeling in a subject. I of course gravitate towards a geometrical style.
All I can say is I have so much to learn and lost time now to make up. If my works make to a local gallery that will be more than I ever expected.
Joker,
Bet you can find a market in painting abstract vipers for this crowd.....it would be awesome decor for the Confrontationalesque Uber Pimp Garage.
Not sure if you are being sarcastic but I never really go into doing cars artwise. Howevever the idea of painting a Viper or Vipers is a possibility. Hmmmm the eyes would have to be piercing!
Joker, I had no idea you had this talent! I thought you were just a car salesman bashing shit heel! Impressive paintings! It's odd to find out things about people on this site that you never knew!

Now come on, you really didn't believe the stuff I said? Used car salesmen are still above plaintiff attorneys!
Actually I am quite different in person, reserved and shy and not as opinionated. I am but a wallflower in public.
Damn Joker that looks awesome. You could sell that stuff
I haven't even got that far and I am trying to build a portfolio to hopefully show in a gallery. Hell I am still defining my style.
p.s. I have an apology to make to Remmy. I prejudged Lassen and didn't realize he did other styles of work. I was blown away by his abstract work. He actually is quite fricken talented. While I don't care for his Dolphins he does some other great work. I urge you guys to look at his other work.

Schill,
Thank you!
Not joking or sarcastic whatsoever. I thought your work looks GREAT. You should try the viper deal.

I give you absolution for your sins Joker.
Your paintings kick ass. If I was still loaded I'd probably drop 20K for a custom piece.
Maybe a large silver/gold geometric abstract on my black TT... hmm... I'll hold onto that thought.
I've never been much of an art fan but your stuff is so impressive to me. Keep at it :thumb:
What is impressive is your calendar. Damn I wish I had kept that!!!
It is nice to see the pictures having some sort of impact on you guys. I think it would have been worse if there had been zero response. The digital camera does not do them justice color wise or size wise. Toxic City is so much brighter in person as well as Crystal Ship and the deep blues. My neighbors have several horses and the head in Spirit horse is darn near close to the size of their horses head. Painting Toxic City and Spirit Horse on 4 x 5 ' canvas enhances the impact and power of them when you first look. Very overpowering with them staring you down. I finished Toxic City late into the morning and decided to hang it up before my wife got up. She got up half a sleep looking for something in her purse and I heard a quick scream. She saw the colors caught her attention and when she looked up it scared the $hit out of her. Toxic City isn't the type of picture you hang in a living room unless you have the right decor to go with it so I will be taking it down eventually.
Since you guys have had a chance to take a look at all four, I will make a brief comment as to what lies within the meaning of the pictures. For brevity sake, I will not dive into deep and freak you guys out.
Toxic City: Yellow with orange generally give a festive feel, throw in green and it turns to a toxic or sick f
