My Viper won't pass sound at Laguna in it's current racing set up. Actually, there were several Comp Coupe drivers there on Friday racing/banging around in rented Miatas

Re: Leguna Seca yesterday, where were you
Ryan, or whomever,
a question about times. The best driver in our group was doing 1:53's in a totally stock SRT-10. Was told he should be in the upper 1:40's, is this correct?

Brad -
Mid :40's would be a good pace. The really fast guys have gone high :38's with just Hoosiers and brakes in otherwise stock GTS's.

i was wondering how fast the viper goobers in the miatas were running.. considering theyre in the mid 30s in their cars..

Re: Leguna Seca yesterday, where were you
Who were the viper goobers in the miata's, I didn't recognize anybody I knew. Are you saying the miata's were in the mid 30's, or is that what they turn in their vipers?
Nathan, Richard was the quickest, Barry's water pump exploded on Friday so he was unable to run this weekend. Tony was a bit conservative. My rollbar was delivered on Friday so am not able to go until its installed.

Re: Leguna Seca yesterday, where were you
I think Joe B, Luc & Dearing were running 1:54-1:58's in the rented Miatas. In their stock Vipers they are running 1:38-1:41's on Hoosiers consistently. They were there on Friday only.

heh.. horsepower.. the great equalizer..
i would have figured the would have been closer to 50.. still damn fast considering it must take 45 secs to get up the hill from turn 6

R3S03s or the new R3S04s should be good for 3-5 seconds depending on the track

Re: Leguna Seca yesterday, where were you
Just curious.......
What is the sound level dB limit there at Leguna?
For some off road dirt track racing I do on a ATV, they have a 99-102 db Limit.
When we're out in the Oregon sand dunes, they enforce a 92-94 db with the meter at 18-20" at 45 degrees to the pipe at 3000-3500 rpm.
thanks for the info.
