The more info I read on the C6 the more impressive it sounds....It sounds leaps and bounds above the C5....hopefully the styling will grow on me...Really hate the profile shots....In the side view the back looks it got chomped off by a Viper .... The C5 has a much better profile..cleaner more finished look imo...
Wow. GM really needs to fire everyone in the interior department. Not that the viper's interior is the cream of the crop, but damn if that doesnt look exactly the same as the interior in my sisters old 94 cavalier.
From what little I read it looks like those guys are GM's wet dream. Was there any mention of a NEW powerplant or is it just more "revised", "upgraded", "improved" GM hype about their 50-year-old motor? Oh, I see the LSLTLXwhatever cylinders are "siamesed", that oughta get them about 50 more hp.
for me the New Mustang with the retro look is heads and shoulder above this shit. I liked the C5 much better, because it looked original. C6 is this and that and some of whatever. I got a letter for a law firm wanting me to join the Class Action suit against GM for steering wheel lock, I traded the Z06 for the Cobra SVT. All I will say is this so far, when I took my Z06 to the local Chebby Dealer, they said "What did I do to it" WTF, I drove it and that's all. The SVT (Not every dick head Ford dealer can be sell and service them) Ford Dealer says "What can I do for you today". Any lame ass MF'ing Chebby Dealer can sell a Corvette, shame they don't know how to service one. DONE.
PS. FUCK EVERY GM Dealer, mostly Chebby (I sell but not service Corvettes).
Personally, I like the looks of the C6. It's not an "exotic", but would be a fun daily driver than has some kick to it. It's relatively inexpensive, parts are cheap, and service is easy to find. All in all, for the price, it is a working man's sportscar.
I saw the C6 at the show in NY. I really liked the look of the C6 vert but not the hatchback. The latter did nothing for me. Wonder what the coupe will look like? The ragtop looked very good in silver. I think there is noticeable improvement in interior look but not in quality of materials used. The leather on my Z06 passenger seat looked and felt like a cheese grater. I was actually pretty surprised with the quality of leather on the RT/10 I bought. Much better than the Vette's.
I'm eager to see the C6 Z06. I hope to Christ it differs from the base C6 much more than it has in the past (appearance-wise, that is). If not for the wheels, air ducts, and badges you could not tell a Z06 from a C5 FRC. From what I heard, GM has had issues reaching the 500hp/500tq numbers they were shooting for. I'll be racing my Z at the Z06 Fest late July in Bowling Green and I hope to find out a little more about the new Z06. I doubt we'll get to see one but more clues about looks and performance would be nice.
