He was minding his own business, stopped at a light, when 3 kids streetracing hit him from behind. Racer 1 hit him directly, killing him and the driver of Racer 1. Racer 1 then spun both cars into the path of Racer 2 and Racer 3. All four cars ended up mashed together.
Fiance seemed like a nice enough kid, with movie-star looks but a very humble attitude. Was fixing to graduate college, with a presumably good life ahead of him.
When you think about all of the effort his parent's put into raising him, with him on the cusp of joining the adult world, the shame of it all is magnified.
sadly this type of event fuels the liberals lust for control and encourages new draconian laws that bind us all and turn us all into penguins that fall into formation....
What I'd like to see is freedom for the individual but harsh and deterent punishments for those that take away the rights of others. Killing someone in an act of stupidity behind the wheel is manslaughter. If there are any traces of P or speed or other narcotic in those guys - upgrade it to murder!
I agree with Craig. I don't think there is any less responsibility for the street racers regardless of whether or not there were drugs involved. My condolences to the friends and family of the victim.

On a similat note...did anyone see the show last week about the kid street racing that crashing into another vehicle that pulled out into his path? The car he hit was his mothers and it killed her instantly.
Any kind of racing I've done on public roads has always been on the highway. Racing on city streets where someone could pull out from a cross street or someone could be on foot crossing the street is just plain stupid.
People die street racing , street driving , street walking , street crossing ect... all the time. There is no way to stop any of it , unless you stay off of the streets. Drive with your brain turned on.

Me too pretty much. Haven't any of these punks seen American Graffiti? Go out to a deserted stretch of road where the only potential victims are the drivers and a tree.
Nobody has said it yet but is anyone thinking...rice?
I don't know the makes, but I assume rice just by the complete lack of thought involved.
To Carrot: Driving while too old to function, driving while talking on the cell phone, street racing in congested areas: Activities all so fundamentally stupid that I hope the culprit faces the same or worse fate as the victim.
