Ya I know y'all hate my weather posts but this is dangerous. 92 tornadoes touched down in NE/KS/MO/OK/ND yesterday leveling many towns, killing and injuring many and almost swallowing up our own Cliffy Windbag.. Today is going to be worse further east so if you live in MO/IN/IL/OH/TN/KY/AR seriously look out. I have never seen the SPC put out PDS Tornado Watches for such a large area. PDS= PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...
There have already been 20 torandoes in those area's today that have resulted in deaths so if you hear thunder and see lightning do me a favor and just take shelter ok.
That cell yesterday was AMAZING!! Cliffy got some good pictures of it while he attempted to get the hell out of its way. I guess he got baseball size hail 50 miles from the core under the anvil stuck on the Kansas Turnpike. MO got nailed and they will again today.. People have already died in KY today and there is a torandic supercell heading right for the Indy500 and all those people outside watching it.
Alot of chasers are sitting this one out for the simple fact of bad chase terrain and how nasty it is going to be.. You know its bad if chasers stay home because of the danger.
As a Kansas resident for the past several years, we get to see these storms a lot (no chasing required). Talked with some folks yesterday and they said that near Platte City (40 miles north of us) there were four separate tornados sited, including a pair that combined after a few minutes. 'Tis the season...

all hell broke over her yesterday but I think she is ok for today. The Wichita storm yesterday produced alot of tornadoes including 2 wedge tornadoes. Amazing storm.

THE DAMAGE FROM LAST EVENING'S TORNADOES IN SUMNER AND HARPER
COUNTIES. A TOTAL OF 7 INDIVIDUAL TORNADO TOUCHDOWNS WERE FOUND.
THERE WAS DAMAGE TO A NUMBER OF HOMES AND IN SUMNER COUNTY, 7 HOMES
LOOKED TO BE DESTROYED. ONE PERSON WAS INJURED IN SUMNER COUNTY.
Bad things might happen, and It is tragic but most of Indianapolis will be there in the morning. You make it sound like a Hydrogen bomb went off or Godzilla lost his taste for Chinese food and has a hankerin for some tater salad.
Nathan do you realize there are hundreds of thousands of people on the interstates there leaving the Indy 500 and even more going to the NBA playoff's
there are hundreds of thousands of people exposed in the open while this rips through town.
And you love every bit of it. I will be sure to ask that the Deity of their choice to watch over them but that is a long way from "Tornado Destroying Indianapolis"
No I'm not loving every minute of it. They should have cancelled the events in light of the weather forecast and people will probibly die today because of it.
You really can be an asshole sometimes you know that.
