Actually Par, the tradition is for ex-Presidents to not be critical of the current President. This has been a long standing 'gentlemans agreement' for many years. Carter is such a pacifist that he just can't keep his mouth shut and Clinton is just trying to politicize what's going on.
Everybody knows what a lame ass job Carter did with the economy when he was in office and it's well known how he pandered to foreign leaders and dictators. His BS slides off our backs like water on a duck.
Clinton is a different animal. He supported the President's policy on war with Iraq until just a few days ago. Basically, he's trying to garner points for the democratic party. That shows you what kind of person he is.

Dumb and dumber.
I couldn't have explained this better myself...Notice who has broken this tradition...those slimball Democrats...They can't help themselves, they are genetically programed to lie, cheat, steal, lie some more.......and pork fat chicks!
Carter...How the hell is he still walkin and talkin?!? Must be those Cuban cigars...
I remember his presidency oh so well. Interest rates were so high that there was no way young people could qualify for a new home purchase. Simple interest loans were being done at 15% to 18% and his brilliant windfall profits taxation plan drove gas prices out the roof. More of his great ideas? Let's give the Panama Canal to the Panamanians with no strings attached and let's kiss Adi Amin's ass and while we're at it, let's create the SALT II treaty with the USSR. That way we can show them how to disarm. Surely they'll follow suit!
The crap that Carter started and Ronald Reagan had to deal with when he got in office was simply overwhelming. Had Reagan not been one of the smartest and willful Presidents in history, we'd be eating borsch, drinking vodka and our children speaking fluent Russian. Carter's presidency was a total failure of catastrophic proportion. Thank goodness he was a one termer and Ronald Reagan was batting clean-up.
For those of you that remember, I'm sure you agree. For those of you that don't remember, you are oh so lucky!
