I don't read many of the threads, just the ones that are of interest to me based on either: (1) the initiator of the thread, and (2) the title of the thread. Taking into account each of those factors, I weigh whether to bother to click it or ignore it. Occasionally I will re-evaluate that decision based on post count for that thread.

good idea. the problem with that is, most of the multiple page threads have somebody bitching about something. where are the good multiple page threads that are just full of content, not hostility?
I have a complex series of Schilbots that scour each thread, and assign an index rating based on the presence of key words and phrases, such as "double penetration," "Kid97GTS," and "17 years old." I then only open threads that have a hit score of 80% or better.
when i say content, i mean towards the topic. it seems that usually the threads begin on target, but then redirect and go off course.
