PS. That Mugen/Fuji/Sony/Bukkake CF hood on your Integra is soooooooo money. Holla!
Call me pussy if you want. I don't have a problem with that. I went from pro-war to anti-war. actually, i was neutral from the beginning. I support what the government is trying to do, but I don't believe in credibility gap.
PS. That is not my car
PSS. How did I know the comment about the car was coming. Last thing i knew, this discussion wasn't about who's penis is bigger

Re: >>>Pending Draft Legislation Targeted for Spring 2005<<<
I support the war because i thought it was getting somewhere. After the scandal on the beating of the iraq prisoners and all that has been going on, I really don't know if fighting for America is a good cause or not. The United States rep has gone down I must say. Other nations are pulling their troops out because nothing much has been progressed. Sure we built schools and made Iraq a better place than before, but to have to sacrifice men from both nations for something we are not sure may work well, is it worth it?
That's what's great about political debates. No one side is always right over the other.
If I happen to get drafted, then so be it. I will right for all I can, but that doesn't make me change my mind about what this war is leading to, and if i'm for or against the war.
Not really because of the draft that made me go to the anti-war side. Why the draft that changed my mind? Why do we need more soldiers? Because other nations are pulling out their troops? Why are other nations pulling out their troops? There must be a reason for troops to be pulled out. Perhaps America had underestimated the war.
The outcome is unpredictable. Do we keep on sending troops and take chances? At what point will there be an accomplishment?
Then again, I will get flamed for what I said. Maybe I said it in the wrong words? Maybe my intentions is different from other people's belief? Who knows..

Re: >>>Pending Draft Legislation Targeted for Spring 2005<<<
gsteq, ever wonder why we have to active reserves all the time? lack of soliders. reserves pulling over a year worth of duty. now, you tell me... sure they joined.. what if we have a problem at home and need them here? they are already over there... the NG does more then fight wars.. they help releave citys hit by floods, severe weather, and the such. what if we go into another country? northkorea? syria? iran? many more places for this war on terror.. and we are stretched thin. go to college.. you wont get drafted for the 4 years.

Re: >>>Pending Draft Legislation Targeted for Spring 2005<<<
I'll be glad to join the national guard to help our home country for the reasons u mentioned...flood, severe weather, etc...
But I do not want to go to war to fight for something I do not believe in. If we were in a situation where the war would affect the US's freedom and all that the US stands for, then forget draft. I would volunteer.
Now then, what was this war all about again?

Re: >>>Pending Draft Legislation Targeted for Spring 2005<<<
I already have different goals in mind already. If going to the NG is a must, then I would. But until that time comes, I will continue to pursue my goals.
Call me what you want. I have no problem with that.
btw, when did they attack us? I never really heard that before, so maybe you could enlighten me with some more info? Thanks

Why thank you
I don't claim myself to know 100% of what is going on, thats why I "thought".
But then again, some people here don't really help out as much and only goes around looking to feel more superior than others.
Instead of flaming, why not try to correct me? I'm fine with that. If you can't help, don't post. I'm sure the admin will be greatful to save bandwidth.
At least b3rndtt0ast points out facts (such as 911 and NG). Now then, back to the original topic.
J.P, i don't think that article is real. I doubt the government would have their site end in ".org". Now if its congress.gov or something, that might be a bit more reliable.

Gsteg,
Don't worry, you are right. It is your choice how to live your life. It is entirely wrong and unconstitutional for the government to draft you. But no point in arguing with these guys. Half of them talk about how they would die for their country, yet they haven't signed up. The other half actually serve, and think everyone should have to go through what they are - for the choices they made on their own. Not me. I make my own choices, I live my life how I choose.
