Strengths and Weaknesses
This score is relative to your full scale score. A 'strength' is an ability in which you scored significantly higher than the mean of your Full Scale Score. A weakness is an area where you scored significantly lower. An 'in-line' ability means that this ability was consistent with your Full Scale Score.

About The GIQTest
The GIQTest Consists of 5 sections. Each of these sections gauges a variety of factors. Together, these factors attempt to construct an over all picture of intelligence. The GIQTest is based on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Test (WAISŪ-III); it has a correlation of .92 with the WAISŪ-III. The WAISŪ-III uses the clinical model of intelligence, which can be described as the "categorized sum of many specific abilities". Wechsler defined intelligence as "the capacity to act purposefully, to think rationally, and to deal effectively with his/her environment".
The GIQTest sections break down into two major categories, Verbal and Performance. The Verbal category attempts to measure Verbal Comprehension and Working Memory; the Performance section attempts to measure Perceptual Organization and Processing Speed. A large difference between Verbal and Performance is pyschologically significant.
Psychologists have developed many ways to measure or quantify intelligence. One theory proposes that there exists Crystallized Intelligence (Gc) and Fluid Intelligence (Gf). Gc is characterized by retrieval of retained information, while Gf focuses on processing and synthesis activities. Below is a table summarizing the attributes, by section, of the GIQTest.

The meaning of the Full Scale Score
Obviously, since this is an online test, there is no way to verify the test was taken without cheating, so the score does not carry the weight of a proctored IQ test. However, the test score does have meaning to the test taker. The Full Scale Score correlates very closely with that of a real WAISŪ-III score. In practice, this means the score on a real WAISŪ-III would be within about 4% points of the Full Scale GIQTest Score.

About IQ
The first IQ tests were developed to evaluate army recruits during during WWI. Since then, there have been many new IQ tests created and many refinements to testing techniques. Currently, the two most popular intelligence assessments are the
Stanford-Binet and the WAISŪ-III. The GIQTest Test is modeled after the WAIS (III or R) assessment. WAIS is the most popular test, with 97% of clinical psychologists utilizing it for adult intelligence assessment.

The average IQ is about 100, the average GIQTest score is about 110, the average WAISŪ-III score is 102.9. About 66%
of the total population will score between 85 and 115, 88% between 60 and 130, and 99% between 45 and 140.
