Brake line in my jeep goes \"Pop\"

So I go homeearly last night, put the trailer on the jeep and hurry to pick up the jet skis from the shop. Load up the trailer, strap down the skis and get ready to drive out the parking lot. Step on the brakes to shift from park to drive and the pedal goes slowly to the floor. By this time the jeeps creeping downhill out the driveway. I push on the brakes again.....squish....to the floor. "Dis is bade"

So i crank on the park brake get the think stopped. Crawl under while the wife hits the brakes. Like a garden hose. Squirts from the pass side front tire across to the other side.

So I drive the fucker a few blocks to the nearest NAPA store and buy a couple of vice grips. Clamp down the hose and drive it home. 3 wheel brakes beats no wheel brakes. Wife was a little worried with the baby in the car an all....I drove it to the shop today since I don't have time to work on it.....

Vipers turning into the most reliable daily driver I have.....

What happened? did the tire cut the rubber line? Careful with putting vise grips on the brake lines as it's an easy way to kill the proportioning valve.

Not sure what happened. I do significant off roading however it's been weeks since my last trip. Where it blew is fairly high and out of the way.

It blew on the rubber hose up by the t-block where the metal lines split off. I was surprised there was enough rubber hose to even clamp it off. I didn't want to mash the metal tube and muck it up more.

I've had nothing but car problems the last few weeks. First the Viper TB connection gets loose, wifes radio and door goes on the blink (warrenty) and now this.....

The scary part is the wifes been driving the Jeep for the last two days while the her car was at the dealer. Glad this didn't happen to her & the baby while they were wheeling around town.

I had a 99 Grand Cherokee Limited and brake fluid got all over the passenger side wheel. Maybe it was a freak accident, that's what my dealer told me I had.
