Saw a Dodge Magnum today at the dealer today.........
In magazines, I was somewhat intersted, but after seeing one in person & sitting in it, all I can say is it's yet another Dodge that I don't like.

Was the one you sat in with the Hemi?
Very plasticky 80's interior. Kind of reminds me of my '84 Daytona. It's got 3 seat belts in back, but with such a high driveshaft tunnel, there is absolutely no way a person, other than a child in a car seat could sit in the middle. With the sloping roofline, the view out the rear is like looking through a rectangle tank porthole. The rear quarter windows are virtually useless. The one I saw at the dealer today had a V6 in it. The floor shifter (automatic) is right out of the M/B parts bin.
Now, if it had the 450 hp supercharged hemi in it like they touted in the magazines, a lot of what I didn't like could be overlooked. The sticker on this model was around $25,500.00
If I remember to bring my camera to work tomorrow, I'll snap a couple pictures.

The 300C is a boat. I was disappointed. It would be a great car if I was about 68 years old and spent a lot of time driving down the highway in a straight line, but that's about it. Except for the engine in the C, the whole thing is a low-end Benz.
Oh yeah, and at first I thought it was a little interesting that they put the keyswitch in the dash (erm, just like the Benz)... but then I took the passenger seat and noticed the steering column still has a hole for the regular ignition key location. Nothing there, just an open hole. That struck me as unnecessarily chincy.

I didn't notice any open hole in the column. More and more auto makers are putting the ign. switch back in the dash, dont know why.
btw, what's a matter with a low end benz????? I like benz's,,, just don't wanna pay for one!

I think the 300C is much nicer than the Magnum. That is also what a lot of the magazines have said. The interior is just not as nice in the Magnum as it is in the 300C. The styling definitely has to grow on you. They are both different looking.

Uh can you provide a picture? Because I didn't see a hole when I test drove one and I'm pretty sure there wasn't one. That's a Mercedes steering column, so shouldn't be a hole there to start with . The styling certainly makes a statement, which I like.
